Selection guide for your wedding rings

The most popular colors for wedding rings are yellow gold, white gold and then red (pink) gold, or a combination of these. Carats
Gold wedding rings, like all jewelry, are made in several carats (meaning their gold content). The pure gold is 24K, ie with a content of 1000/1000. For this reason, in addition to the manufacturer’s code, you will see engraved numbers such as “585”, “K18”, etc. Because the pure gold is soft, we “lower” the carats to make the construction of the wedding ring more durable as well as to paint it.
White gold wedding rings
Apart from the gold wedding rings, which are the most common, the white gold ones come second. White gold means “white gold with platinum coating”. In contrast, “platinum” (or “platinum” in chemistry) is a different metal, rarer, harder, heavier and much more expensive. We work it almost intact and it is more durable, but like anything that is strained in our hands, so it will be damaged. When we say white gold for convenience, we always mean the first.
Diamond wedding rings
It is not uncommon for a wedding ring to be accompanied by one or more Brilliants. Brilliant (-for the sake of brevity- diamond is the material, brilliant is the cut) has 4 characteristics. Features that are of particular value when it comes to single stone, but for a wedding ring that the size of the stones is definitely not large, a purity of VVS or VS and color G, H or I are considered satisfactory.

Your wedding rings should be a product of your common taste even if they have minor differences, be sure that you will like them over time, and combine a look with durability. The most “reasonable” choice is mainly 14K and yellow gold in a glossy finish, because they retain more of their original appearance. Whatever you choose, make sure it is a comfortable design, because wedding rings, apart from being a symbol of your union, do not cease to be your everyday jewelry.
